If by ongoing you mean currently airing, I don't really do it that much myself either. Only done it for two animes so far.
If you mean a series that's going to never seemly end (Bleach, Naruto) then I don't watch it at all.

I am almost finishing up on Code Geass R2(greatest anime I have watched!)
might start watching D.Gray Man since a while back I stopped....
Trigun (funny as hell) and Code Geass first season, personally i think its over overrated im not enjoying it that much :/

You could try watching Kaichou wa maid-sama ! , as subbed episodes become avaliable . Its based of the manga if you have read it Dx
