From what I heard, the anime of Chaos;Head puts the VN to shame, speaking of which. I need to get around to reading the VN soon.

Meh, these disputes are usually stupid IMO.  Whatever you watch/read 1st will most likely be superior.

I'm waiting for the Fate/stay night OVA. Two hour-long OVA episodes supposedly covering most of the stuff in the anime. woo for simplicity.

If by ongoing you mean currently airing, I don't really do it that much myself either. Only done it for two animes so far.
If you mean a series that's going to never seemly end (Bleach, Naruto) then I don't watch it at all.
