Assassinator Wrote: [ -> ]I heard (from some dubious source, so take it with a grain of salt) that the anime changes the actual true ending of Fortune Arterial (which is supposedly the only good thing about it).  So yeah, you make an adaption, but change the only good thing in the original... I don't know lol.
Sounds like those people who just always have to stick with the originals and will denounce all modifications or whatever.  Meh.

And with my suggestion for crazier ideas on Onii-chan no Koto, they did have one in episode 9, interestingly enough.  Unfortunately, they still stick to the same old love triangle bickering idea, along with the standard beach/swimsuit, festival/yukata episodes >_>  Would be better if they used more interesting ideas instead.

Seemed to me like an average harem show with a slightly mysterious aura floating around at first.  But things merge into the general flow of events so nothing seems too out of place.
Maybe an odd thought, I found it a little amusing that if you replace "urge to drink blood" with "want to have sex", "drink transfused blood" with "masturbation" and similar things, the story actually somewhat still makes sense (and perhaps more sense in some circumstances).
The ending seems to sidestep the major issue, which is a bit disturbing, but on the other hand, it does manage to change the mood of the ending, which is probably what the writers intended.
3 stars

Stopped watching this at like episode 4.  May or may not continue.

Same, though I'm pretty much absolutely decided to never finish it though.
Beginning was a bit poo poo.  Got slightly better later on.
Meh.
Finished Haibane Renmei.  Was decent I guess, though the ending feels more like a chapter ending than a true ending.  Has a nice soundtrack.  And considering it's a 2002 anime, also nice visuals, so I guess good production values overall.  7/10.

Well, that's a change, from the usual show of this type, where the beginning is decent and it gets worse.

At least the animation looks good, not like fucking Yoake (comparison because both are based on VNs from August), which wins the worst animation and shittest production award by a long shot.

(no, the middle one isn't from the anime)
Are those edited? Because they seem a little exaggerated. (I know that the infamous cabbage isn't though)

Too lazy to check.

But even if they're edited, it's close.

Not really.
You're probably thinking of ecchi-harem shows, which generally have a fairly light story theme, and often start with exciting stuff happening but getting stale later on.
This is perhaps more Kanon-esque where it starts off light but eases into the storyline.
Should be obvious in episode 1.

hmm. seems worth watching then.

A lot of it is slow everyday life kind of thing, sort of like Aria, but not happy happy like Aria (that's not saying it's bad).  But it's not all like that, and stuff actually happens.  Don't know, you may like it.  Anyway, ratings for this seem pretty high everywhere, and lots of people like it.

Just watch the first 2-3 episodes or something, and see how that goes.  If you can't stand it, then you probably shouldn't watch any further.

I'll probably like it - but my sister won't. She didn't like Aria at all - found it utterly boring. Thanks for the heads up.
