That sort description, I have I feeling I'm not going to enjoy and not even attempt it.

Zinga is Special.
In this case, I agree with the general public (AniDB) ratings:
Rating
8.53 (5862)
Tmp. Rating
7.17 (500)
Review Rating
8.06 (18)
The thing that sticks in my mind right now is the two girls playing volleyball, at the beginning of like episode 3 or something.
They both suck, so they end up getting hit in the face or something, in other words, girl serves, other girl gets hit in face and makes wonderful noise, she then serves, and other girl gets whacked etc. Now whilst that may be funny once, the creators find the need to repeat it like 10 times, by which time, it seriously isn't amusing any more.
Seems to be the typical comedy sequence used in a number of kids' shows, so I would guess that it's targeted at younger viewers (but apparently it's not).
The rating does not necessarily express the opinion of the general public, it only reflects the opinion of people who bothered to vote. And what basis people are using on their opinion can also vary.

Well, theres seems to be some general consensus.
I do remember that scene (lol) and those girls really are helpless. But following them through school, up to graduation, its just.. "nice".
Makes me very curious as to whether you'd enjoy Aria the Animation. Different genre altogether, but its paced, and takes its time... do you prefer stuff that's more "happening"?
I still think she looks like Alice from Touhou.
If you know what Touhou is you should know who I'm talking about

Not sure what you mean.
Its like... do you prefer Action over Slice of Life?
Probably the opposite actually.
Action seems rather senseless most of the time. Slice of life is more down to earth, however, it can't be too ordinary, otherwise it looses it's advantage of being a show (ie, I live an ordinary life myself (okay, perhaps not that ordinary)).
