Only if you can convince him to watch all that stuff.  He only rates the stuff he watches (obviously).

Surely... with the miracle of her last wish bringing Yuichi happiness and bringing everything to a close on episode 24 - isn't the explaination for his memory loss quite simply trauma of having "lost" Ayu just before he had to leave?

Just saying.. cause the matter of his memory loss was a topic left unclosed.

Is that just your assumption, or does it actually say (or hint to) that in the anime?

Well ...

Spoiler for Spoilers en masse:
- There was him screaming Ayu after she "passed away" - the blood in the snow could as well add to a loss of memory because of trauma

- Him hitting the snow bunny Nayuki had for him was more evidence of him already taking it really hard, almost to a point of complete rejection - even though she didn't know what happened (which coincides with the ongoing and eventually stunned relationship between them when she hits her breaking point when "the accident" happens - and she starts to recover when she realizes she is going through a similar pain he had to go through when Ayu "died", and that was before her mum started recovering)

- The final episode when he spoke with Nayukis mum in the Cafe pretty much convinced me this was the case because he came to the conclusion he forgot all of them (Mai, Makoto, the Fox Kit) because of what happened to Ayu - and he referenced when she asked about the tree being cut down to see if he remembered anything

So really, there was closure for all his past memories - and it was Ayus wish for his memories to continue - happily...

and they did! *sob!!**

card captor sakura appears to be a little girl's show mostly and doesn't terribly interest me. To be honest, I don't mind them that much (eg Full Moon wo Sagachocolatee), but I generally don't watch them often, especially long ones)
tenchi moyo in the list - only the OVAs though
dbz (why isent that in there????) kids show
salor moon kids show
tokyo mew mew never heard of that one
grenader never heard of that one
durara heard of it, but otherwise know nothing else
ghost in the shell stand alone complex plan to watch
gundum maybe, though mecha/action doesn't appeal to me
azumanga daio (suprised its not in there) dropped after 3rd episode

deathmock5 Wrote:i probly sound stupid but most of thoes are shows i grew up with
Probably why I haven't put them on, as I only really started watching later in life.

Dunno about 2nd one - watched some FLCL but didn't get it.
Spoiler:
Didn't the tree get cut down after he left?

The show never shows signs of Nayuki ever really knowing what happened.
As for rejection, rejection of what?  Friends?
Or was it him being mad, eg not able to save her? (yes, a kid is unlikely to think so far, but he acts way beyond his age as a kid anyway)
To me, it just seems like he didn't want to be interrupted at that point.

It's a possibility, but I don't think there's enough evidence to go beyond that.

Two more I'll get around to adding some time.

Akane-iro ni Somaru Saka
Mostly rather lame I thought.  Had some interesting ideas they could've worked on, but didn't.  The randomness soon turned silly.
About 2 stars.

Shakugan no Shana
Not a bad combination of genres here, though it's still rather separated, so you sort of get two stories being merged into one.
Unfortunately, I probably wouldn't call either of these two stories terribly great.
About 3-3.5 stars.

Watching Hayate no Gotoku - looks interesting, but am not sure if it can hold up well as a comedy.
Interestingly, for three of these shows, the main girl is played by the same voice actress (who seems to generally play under-developed / midget girls who are usually tsundere).
I think I'm getting too much of a dose of that...

well lets see,
paranoia agent, if you dint like flcl you won't like this it makes no sence whatsoever.
a show about a bunch of insane people.
granader, from what iv seen of it it has large breasted women with big guns and kunfu.

ghost in the shell is quite good,

then theres the movies, by um... i can't remeber who but some of them are
howels moving castle
nassica
spirited away
castle in the sky
my neigbor totoro

there good even for older ages imo.

heh, i have a dvd of amvs and stoof if you want the iso of it, though it is quite large...
easy burn/finalise and chuck in a dvd player (ever herd of amv hell?)

you could alwase move into some hentai movies for teh lulz

(wached ccs, tokyo mew mew, and salor moon for the same reson i wached kodomo no jikan...) and by the way, even after the years i still have the salor moon theme song memorised.

Are you just poking my second point? It tickles xD

Anyway, he just lost Ayu. Nayuki knew that. He had the dream and ran to the hill. Kaori explained to Nayuki that she wasn't the only one who was in pain and that she couldn't console herself by keeping her pain to herself.. and when she met Yuichi at the bench.. they were able to sympathize with each other... and they had to fight on through the hard times.

His face after the dream of evidence of how hard it was to remember, and it hit him hard.. and if it did all those years later.. surely it was indicative of the pain he felt at the time it happened.

Wee watched Kiki's Delivery Service, Spirited Away and My Neighbour Totoro in Japanese class at high school.  Really didn't like either of them to be honest.  The last two were just really weird/odd, and the first one seemed mostly lame.

I lost you there...
Gah, still haven't updated my first post >_>

Anyway, Kiddy Girl-and was okay overall.  Fairly entertaining at the beginning, then gets srs bzns later on, but it's somewhat Kiddy Grade-esque, though retains some interesting elements.
Probably enjoyed this a bit more than Kiddy Grade.

Hayate no Gotoku S1 is nice, but at 52 episodes, is fairly episodic.  Would've liked a bit more of a storyline, though the ending was quite interesting.  Has some good ideas.  Unfortunately, it's high use of references doesn't work too well for my lack of knowing them.
S2 looks more interesting (a bit less episodic, with stories spanning multiple episodes).

Watched the first eps of KissXsis, Rainbow, B Gata H Kei and Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou.
Rainbow looks interesting and I might even watch it.  A little sadistic, though and potential storyline doesn't seem too good from the first ep.
B Gata H Kei has some interesting ideas, but I don't think I'll continue on this one.
Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou looks like it'll mainly be pointless fighting/magic and pointless ecchi (similar to Maburaho maybe?) and should make for a good pointless watch = I'll probably see this one.

= after 2 eps I CBA to watch anymore =_=
Great work on this thread, Simple, yet informative,
thanks Zinga! Madwin

Thanks, though I'm not sure how it's meant to be informative >_>  Well, just my ideas, I'm not even being considerate of what other people may think...
But thanks anyway.
