By make the most - that shouldnt mean looking for every flaw in the anime......... it should mean watching the anime >_>
Yes, but to what degree do flaws affect enjoyment? Wouldn't that depend on how astute one is?
I don't go looking for flaws - they get shown to me.
Exactly. So the result is conclusive anyway. You prefer Air. Simple as that. ^_^
Add to first post later.
K-On: a nice light anime which, IMO, achieves its goal fairly well. Not that music oriented - more daily life and comedy was decent. Probably rate 3.5 stars.
Piano: just finished. Personally don't like the style as it's rather slow and unexciting. It is embellished, compared to a normal person's life, but not so much to make it interesting. Quite a bit of focus on the thoughts of the protagonist, so I guess if you like that kind of stuff, it probably works better. The piano playing is actually rather separate from the rest of the story, though does merge in at the end (somewhat expected). Story does get a little more "exciting" towards the climax.
She composes pretty damn well for her grade I must say, though her piano teacher was surprised at her ability too, so the writers were obviously aware. I managed to identify most of the early pieces, but not the later ones...
Rate around 2.5 stars.
Saw the first episode of School Days but not too optimistic about it and probably won't watch. Just another show with dopey characters it seems. I had hoped Saiyonji would save the day with a more interesting personality, although I somewhat knew I had my expectations too high >_> ...okay, perhaps she's a more interesting dope, but still a dope nonetheless.

awwwww
/disappointed

Where did you get that expectation from? Sensei? Kuu? (it's supposedly his favourite show or something)
No-one. Actually "expectation" was the wrong word. "Hopes" is the more accurate one.
Added Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu (not particularly good, rather fluffy in one respect, and silly in the other) and Sola.
Zingaburgas opinion on "Sola Wrote:Starts off very "moody", if that's the right word to use. Story unfolds later on and is somewhat reasonable, though there are many issues which seem flawed or odd. Ending is semi-interesting.
Couldn't have put it better myself v_v
Add 3 more - all rated 3.5 stars.
Lucky Star:
Start wasn't the best - reminded me a bit of Azumanga Diaoh style comedy. But later stunts are a bit more interesting.
Rather unique in what it does - basically everyday conversion but embellished in the anime way. Could only identify a few references though. Does get a little repetitive at the end though. Ending was so-so.
Liked some ideas in the OVA - would've liked them to explore some of them a bit more.
Chaos;Head:
Overall, seems to be a fairly standard plot, with the typical questionable issues which come along with these shows. Starts off as a supernatural mystery type thing. Unfortunately degrades a bit towards the end (no, not because the mystery element is gone).
Can't say much else, it's reasonable. Put this between 3 and 3.5 stars, but I'll lean towards 3.5.
5 Centimeters Per Second:
Just watched this today, 1080p version on a 1080p monitor and I really liked the visual quality.
As for the show itself, it's a bit slow to start and, again, rather moody, although somewhat nice-ish. I like the somewhat exalted realism about it and the drama doesn't isn't that overdone, although there were some parts that seemed a bit odd. Unfortunately, that's about all it is to me, but I guess it does a reasonable job in doing what it set out to do.
Rewatched Kiddy Grade - not a bad show IMO. Kiddy Girl-and is somewhat a sequel but rather different in both the setting/main characters and the style.
From what I heard, the anime of Chaos;Head puts the VN to disgrace.
* Sparker will read the VN sometime soon.

Azumanga Daioh isn't there :o
Shame, it seems I enjoyed all three more than yourself..
(though 5cm/s leaves me more depressed every time I watch it.)
