I actually never got around to finishing Index II.

IMO index's plot always ended with a facepalm :P
Kara no Kyoukai
Firstly, the 7 episodes of this show really give off a movie feel to them.  Each being 1-2 hours long, no opening song like your typical TV series, high dynamic range sound, 2+ minute blank+white credit sequences at the end etc.
Apart from that, I personally am not a fan of a number of things they did in the show (such as purposely leave out details that the characters know to get the audience to figure those out).  A number of aspects also seem difficult to believe, but then, I guess the world there isn't normal anyway.
Otherwise the pace of the story is reasonable, and the general atmosphere is certainly a lot better than something like Tsukihime.

Koharu Biyori
Not much to comment - short 3 episode show which somewhat met my expectations, though the female robot was pretty much all female and no robot.  I'm not sure about the attempt at the dramatic ending.  I guess they needed one, but many aspects of it don't really feel right.  At least they didn't invest too much into it, with a fair dose of comedy around it.

Koe de Oshigoto
Amusing for 2 episodes - don't think it would've lasted longer, so kudos for keeping it short.
Otherwise, mostly fanservice and comedy with pretty much no story.

The World God Only Knows
I really liked the idea of apply dating sims' stereotypes to "actual" dating (which, unfortunately, is still limited to the stereotypes of anime dating) though I think it would've been more interesting if they emphasised the disparities more.
Interesting mix of drama and seriousness, but I couldn't really take either too strongly.  The filler episodes also didn't seem to be terribly great IMO.
Overall idea seems a little bit repetitive to me (which is maybe why they included the fillers to try to add some variety) and, whilst I think it's fine for the first season, I'm not sure whether they'll last the second season without doing some bigger changes.
Also the first show I've seen where they've explicitly stated there'll be a second season at the end of the first.

Ore no Imouto bonus 3 eps
Pretty much a continuation of the storyline.  Nothing too fancy.

So how would you rank the movies?

For me, 5 >> 7 ≥ 6 = 3 > 1 ≥ 2 = 4... something like that.

Tsukihime's story is better.  At least 1/2 of Kara no Kyoukai is the godly animation and music.  Damn, Tsukihime could have been so much more, if the studio did it properly, both plot and animation (Tsukihime's animation was like super shitty).

Bakemonogatari - Decent I guess.  Though I don't think it's even close to the "absolute masterpiece" some others make it out to be.  Some bits were quite boring.  7.5 probably, I gave 8 on MAL.  Madoka was better.

Kampfer - I dropped this back then when it was airing, but later decided to finish it.  Natsuru FUCK... got to be the most dense and clueless main protag I've ever seen, like what the fuck am I watching.  Actually, everyone in the show besides for Shizuku (student pres) and Kaede are retarded.  Bakemonogatari actually had tasteful fanservice that was woven relatively nicely into the story, this is just straight out fanservice and nothing else.  3.5/10.
This thread aught to be renamed "ZiNgA & Assassinator's Quick Review Thread"... hehe.

Agreed. I loved it - but there were weak spots.

I should probably split off all my poo poo into a new thread some day.  Can't be stuffed now though.

Gonna finish off Shukufuku no Campanella, then start Clannad after that.

Seriously? I dropped that spoon after a single episode.

Watched like 4 eps or something.  Just seems like some happy slice of life at the moment.  Sure it's not like the best thing ever, but at least it's better than Kampfer (so far).

No worries, even if it turns out sucking really hard, the follow up Clannad surely will not.

Also played a demo of the new Aiyoku no Eustia VN from August (Yoake, Fortune Arterial).  That trial was actually quite excellent.  Like 9/10.  Well, for a mere demo version to be translated, it has to be really fucking good (I mean there's a whole crapload of complete VNs out there that will never get a translation).

If anyone's interested in trying, I'd recommend it.  It's only like 5hrs long or something at most.
Lol @ Kyubey
I've been wanting to make a similar thread to this one, seeing as I have different views on it, but..meh... I tend to procrastinate
