You watch Place Promised In Our Early Days?

I think I have it.. but haven't seen it yet.

Really don't get you, but anyway, they both turned but the train got in the way.  He waited, but she left.  As for why they didn't look at each other when they passed by, I dunno (both heads down?).
So this text is outside the spoiler.

Spoiler:
She was engaged, I think that's why she didn't look back - because she knew that it just couldn't happen.

Shame he couldn't go after her, she vanished. -__________-
* MysterySword declares whoever saw 5cm/s needs to see Place Promised In Our Early Days!

Hmm... I just realized how little I remember from 5cm/s. It's been a few months since I've seen it, that's probably why (or I was too focused on how awesome the art is).

I was taken in by the art work... It truly is magnificent.
I want to own the three of them (Voices of a Distant Star, Place Promised in our Early Days & 5 Centimeters per Second)

Doesn't seem possible without spending an insane amount of money :(
Another 3:

Nodame Cantabile
Didn't quite like the beginning, but I guess it settles in a bit after a while.  It's heavily focused on (classical) music, so if you really dislike it, this show won't work for you.  Otherwise, music does consume a fair bit of the time, with a fair portion of a number of well known pieces.  Nice music, though I'd probably prefer a proper CD.
As for the story, it's reasonable - fairly typical shoujo type show with the "flawed prince like character".  Comedy works relatively well, though, like many others, I don't think it mixes in quite well with the dramatic parts.  I liked how they wouldn't often try to surprise you - seems to be overdone in some shows.  Ending was okay, though not great.
Rating: 3 stars

Kampfer
Another of those turn off brain shows I like to watch.  Started off fairly good IMO, but quickly lost it after the third episode.  There were some comedic elements here and there, but ultimately nothing stirring I thought.  Except for the President - she pretty much made the show worth watching.  Ending was reasonable.  Didn't like the bonus episode that much - nothing particularly interesting there.
Rating: 2.5 stars - maybe just under 3.

High School Girls
This one surpassed my expectations.  A fair number of the funny parts don't seem to be overused in other shows, though it probably does get a bit repetitive towards the end.
Has some semi-interesting mini-stories mixed in as well.  Of course, with a fair share of ecchi too.
I really didn't like the ending though.
Rating: 3 stars

(add to first post later)
Regarding the previous Kanon discussion.

Surely... with the miracle of her last wish bringing Yuichi happiness and bringing everything to a close on episode 24 - isn't the explaination for his memory loss quite simply trauma of having "lost" Ayu just before he had to leave?

Just saying.. cause the matter of his memory loss was a topic left unclosed.

Is that just your assumption, or does it actually say (or hint to) that in the anime?

Only if you can convince him to watch all that stuff.  He only rates the stuff he watches (obviously).
