After watching episode 4 of OreShura:
Spoiler:
Looks like yet another harem show from the opening, but I'm finding this one more interesting.
Okay, you've got the mean Masuzu (which I presume people will like), although her precise agenda is a bit difficult to percieve. Quite easy to recognise that she's a fairly calculating type person who's probably looking for a more interesting relationship. She considers most of the confessions to her to be fairly uninteresting and thus pursues Eita (who's different). It's interesting to note that Eita finds "love relationships" to be rather pointless, and the show seems to promote the idea that most of the relationships there are fairly shallow (eg the popular guy and all his girlfriends).
An interesting thing is how she's using the notebook. Is its use purely for fun, or is there actually deeper reason?
Despite being rather calculating, Masuzu doesn't seem to quite act herself at the end of episode 4. I suppose some possible reasons:
- she realises that the notebook threat she had on Eita is wearing thin after his extravagant public performance
- Eita doesn't seem to be acting quite as she had previously expected
- she seriously digs him more after the fight
I can't really figure why Chiwa decided to wait an hour for the guy. Maybe she just decided to stay committed to what she originally set out to do, despite clearly resenting it?
I'm surprised that during the fight scene in episode 4, no bystander tried to stop it.
And Eita is clearly a dopey dude who generally can't think straight, though has simple yet noble goals. Like most other anime of this type I suppose.
Interesting to note that he's "anti-love", yet a caring person. Caring can be considered a form of love? Perhaps in contrast to the 'uncaring love' that seems to be happening around in this show?
What happens in episode 5 should be fairly predictable...
