I think this guy pretty much nailed the reason why I didn't like P&S (though I did only watch 3 episodes).

Detective Wrote:"So what's the point?"

The main argument as to why Panty & Stocking is a masterpiece are all embellished ways of saying "funny," "it's a parody," and "cool art." Some people go as far as to say that Panty & Stocking is actually genius scripting - a juxtaposition between today's current moe anime standard and hardcore "American pop culture." I've even come across the explanation that Panty & Stocking is "a new level of anime," one that doesn't require intricate or meaningful plot, characters, or story - essentially an anime that thrives on emotion and it's acute sense of humor.

That my friends, is complete bullshit.

Thanks for that Detective - you got it in one.
Lol.
Everyone has their own tastes >_>

Apparently that can't be more true with Panty & Stocking. Just above Detective is this:

This series is so good it'll probably kill you by the time it's done. As in, this thing Gainax has made here can roughly fall under the definition of autoerotic asphyxiation.

... with a rating of "10" no less. Haha.
Oh, fair enough then.
Why did they have to change the Ending theme for GTO a second time!? The second one is fantastic Sadist

The second ending song IS fantastic.  That used to be like my favourite anime song back then 3 years ago or something.
So I have finished Greeeeeeeeeeeat Teacher Onizuka with a 6-episode run - which I haven't done in ages! :D

Thoroughly enjoyed it. There are episodes it could have done without - but overall its consistently entertaining and Onizuka makes things very epic indeed.

I loved the animation style, the voice acting was great and it had a number of characters you become familiar with thanks to their individual characteristics and personalities which are brought about in its steady pace - and its these kinds of characters that are very much missing in the majority of Anime - but hey - not everything can be excellent, right?

It'll definitely be something I'll be rewatching - and I only rewatch the best stuff.

9/10

I disliked GTO's ending, but I rated it a 9 anyway because the show as a whole more than makes up for it.  It's a pretty solid 9 for me.

Ahh, I'm glad I'm not the only one who was discontent with the ending. I was told to read the manga but I haven't gotten around to it. Has anyone here read/finished it?

I assume you're implying it continues in the manga? I wouldn't say I'm "discontent" but I would have liked it to continue as it very well could have.

First couple that come to mind are Fuyutsuki getting ready for Okinawa and Kunio preventing his mum from remarrying.
