Finished Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha (S1)..

[Mini-Review]

I watched this through and I finished it with a smile.. I never really look up to the idea of 'Magical Girls' as such, but I saw and heard enough about this one to give it a go and I don't regreat it, Great Animation, Nice Story with wicked villains and Nanoha as herself make this out to be an Anime I won't forget for a long while. If your looking for something that isn't heavy to watch, but has battle scenes, great colours and a great story, watch this! (I should of given a 7, but I gave it an 8 because its enjoyment factor was to the max)
Magical Girl = win.
I mean, wee all know from Final Fantasy that girl = high MAG stat.

And ones where the magic is over-powerful, like FF6, well...

Aeris?

Magical girl with sword = win

Aerith doesn't use a sword... she uses a staff...

FF6... yeah, maybe. Although what's most overpowered is cheap combos like vanish+doom/x-zone. Kills pretty much 90% of bosses too, in 1 hit, guaranteed death.

Have u realised these casters (Terra, Celes) also completely able to wield all the most powerful weps in the game. Illumina wep, atmos, ragnarok and such.

FF8, Squall is easily the best. Good at pretty much everything, and probably way higher level than the others too.

FF7, Cloud is best.

wasn't refering to that

Myself Wrote:Magical girl with sword = win
example, Saber (Fate/stay Night)

another would be Shana. (Shakugan no Shana)

and another would be Nel Zepyher (Star Ocean 3)

Personally like Rinoa (the sorceress) better in FF8.  Angel Wing = ~70,000 damage per turn guaranteed.  Whereas Squall can't do more than 9999 damage per turn unless he gets Lionheart (which you have a VERY low chance of getting).
Still haven't played FF7.

As for FF6, on low level, Relm (the little girl) is probably the most powerful if you aren't going to do cheap Vanish/Joker Doom tricks.  On higher levels, Ultima does 9999 damage for most characters, so it's meh.  On really higher levels, when your attacks start dealing lots of damage, well then those Offering+Gengi Glove combos will do more damage, but, for most people, you won't be on such a high level...

So, swords better?  Dunno...

That's only late-game though.

So let me guess, u strip Rinoa off ALL the stuff she can actually use under Angel Wing except for Meteor, and then lets her sPa/\/\ meteor...

He can easily do more than 9999 with Renzokuken (whatever it's called) if ur late enough in the game, and have something good enough junctioned to his attack.

And for a good part of the game (early and mid), just leaving him on yellow HP (with stuff like HP+40% to boost his HP) and letting him limit break is probably the most efficient way to kill stuff. (with efficient refering to highest damage per time)

Triggering stuff like Lionheart depends on how critical his HP is, more critical, more likely. Still not likely that he uses Lionheart, and when he does, it's probably overkill anyways. Lionheart is like 16 shots of 9999 or something.

low lvl = ???

Relm didn't seem to leave much impression on me, so i can't exactly say.

I am generally under-leveled in most games, (I'm NOT one of these people who like to sit there and train) never got to the stage when i can ultima for 9999 damage with any charactor. Even at the end, i was only pulling stuff like 6000 or so.

From what i remember, towards the end, i could pull these really long spell chains with quick and multicast and ultima, merton and stuff. Can quite easily do rediculous damage this way, and doesn't require insane level and attack, like u will with multi-attacking.

ZiNgA BuRgA Wrote:So, swords better?  Dunno...

At the start, attacking matters.

In the very end, I'll probably end up doing cheap spell chains and stuff anyways.
