I see, so you guys start a bunch and pick from them?
As for Hayate no Gotoku, Lucky Star may provide a bit of an idea on what to expect.

I really didn't find Lucky Star to be all that great. I blame myself for being not "otaku" enough (note: that's probably a good thing). Referrences don't work when you don't get them 9/10 of the time.

Lucky Star as far as I know has much more blatant references, relying on them for the comedic effect - Hayate has plenty but doesn't rely on them compared to Lucky Star, and for that reason I think more people enjoy Hayate. My sister picked up from season two and loved it, I watched it from the beginning but I'm picking up some of the puns my sister isn't getting which is essentially just a bonus.

I'd say the opposite. I'd have found many of the puns in Lucky Star amusing even not understanding the reference. Whereas in Hayate, they make it blatant that they're making a reference (censoring the words) and it's really annoying since you don't get what they're referring to.
I liked S2 better than S1 anyway.
Well it's the only episodic comedy anime I can think of.
K-ON Finale time (excluding bonus eps)
Okay that didn't go according to plan. Wee watched the Ookami-san finale and my sister went to bed.
Tomorrow night I guess..
I thought Ookami ended pretty, uh.. lamely.

Yeah it was a bit late for a new chara really.. but in all honesty it didn't detract from the fact that I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. 7/10 [YER BETTAR THAN HOTD >:D]
I published my (rather straightforward) review for Highschool of the Dead:

Also finished Seitokai Yakuindomo (which is getting a review) and Giant Killing
6/10
Will be finishing Midori Days tonight... really enjoyed it so far even if it gets a bit too slow for it's own good when it tries to do serious..
