Senseito7 Wrote: [ -> ]With the re-watch of the two 'ef' series it's quite clear 'melodies' is better.

The fact it was my second viewing last night did not make watching Episode 6 any easier. At all. What an episode that is...

Supposedly, according to some people who have played the VN, the anime adaption screws up in a lot of places....

But I haven't played the VN, and I thought it was pretty good (yes, better than ef memories).
Totally in an awesome Anime-mood recently! Pre-ordered a Kuroneko Nendo, totally ready for Winter 2011, started Samurai Girls, watching Haruhi Film soon.......

All good!! Madwin
... the Yuki Nagato Disappearance Ver. Nendoroid. Yay

Edit: Also ordered the Haruhi Disappearance Ver. Nendoroid and pre-ordered Kyon too!
Spoiler for Doesn't spoil the film.. or anything much, but the more Haruhi you've seen, the better:
Endless Eight and the original series deal with Haruhi's issues with the world being so ordinary - it can't be uncommon for some of us to feel the same as her, surely?

I think it's wonderful for something like an Anime to be enlightening on something that's often difficult to chew on - reasons for living in an ordinary world.

Even though in our reality, nothing as extraordinary as what happens in Kyon's life happens to us, I think the author tries to show that the moments he appreciates are from emotions not too different from those wee can feel.. and it's all just for those times where wee feel slightly extraordinary, those somewhat special moments wee have, that make it all worth it. That, in itself, is surely a truly wonderful thing. This way it makes me think that life is worth living because it's an opportunity to reach for those things - and that seems to be just enough reason to keep going. To chase the dream of something out of the ordinary.

<3 sensei the figure collector

LET YOUR COLLECTION BLOSSOM
here comes the figures!
Currently watching Beck - Mongolian Chop Squad.

Love music anime so it already appeals to be and has been generally very good - but I just hit the middle bit of the anime and the story flow has gone out the window and it's getting a little frustrating.

Feels like they are trying to adapt the manga, which had a sizable number of volumes at the time, to too few episodes (26).

Let's hope it picks up towards the end.
just finished yosuga no sora... have any recommendations similar to that specific genre

wat. no I didn't see it. isn't that the incest one?
Finished Lovely Complex.

Yeah, I've had that on hold since 2008 I think. My sister convinced me to finish it.

I'm glad I did, while I definitely recognized why I dropped it, repetitiveness, relatively annoying voice acting and pretty average animation - it was a really enjoyable last 8 episodes that I'm glad I watched.

I was looking desperately for something else to watch as I was finding Special A especially hard to watch. For now it's dropped because it's moderately good comedy can't make up for it's really shoddy production, repetitiveness and generally a story I just don't like - that somehow lasts for more than 20 episodes when it could (and should) have ended with 13.

Winter 2011 is turning out much better than most of last years seasonal pickings so I'm glad I've got all that to look forward to.

My favorite 1st episodes for Winter 2011:
1: Wandering Son/Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica
2: Fractale/Kimi ni Todoke 2nd
3: Gosick
---VERY LARGE GAP---
4: Beelzebub
5: Rio: Rainbow Gate/Mitsudomoe 2/Zombie?
