I played the beta a little while back (limited to 9 days, haven't seen if it's been updated).

Unique concept, and was interesting to keep me playing until it ended, but I can't see myself really playing this for any reasonably lengthy period...
I wonder if they'll decide to expand on the part where you distribute your money - that seemed mostly like an afterthought that wasn't really given any attention.

FF theme is pretty cool, the combat and story is as boring as the next MMO. It honestly feels very casualized. I'm gonna see how it is when the beta is over.

Now that the beta is over I can safely say this game is not bad, nowhere near perfect but a good time waster. Fates are pretty fun and looking for a party is easy unlike in FFXI.

How complex did the game get to the last day? I didn't play the beta myself but I do THINK that the game is 30 days with 20 various endings. They also introduce new elements(more paperwork to check and cross check) to keep you playing. Unless those were already in the beta, I'm not sure.

They typically add 1-2 rules every day, so there's a fair number of rules by the 8th day often requiring you to cross check stuff on multiple documents.
If they continue at that rate, 30 sounds like a lot... :O

If they don't add new rules something happens in which certain citizens aren't allowed entry and you have to check out for that. At one point they give you access to a gun to take care of any trespassers. It's quite fun really. Didn't think I'd get that much playtime but I'm on my third playthrough trying to get the different endings.
