Endless Paradigm

Still playing Sengoku Rance.

Really fun game...till the Demon Army started attacking. I messed around too much and took way to many wrong turns. Guess I'll start over. =(

I haven't started anything new quite yet.

I think the next thing I will be playing will be dream drop distance

Holy shit someone is playing Rance.  Played that stuff like 12hrs a day for like 3 days straight back then.

I assume this is your 1st run, even if you do everything right, demon army will always appear, it's part of the story.  Also don't worry, most people are pretty bad at this game in the 1st run, I did alright but that's because I'm an over calculative faggot who did a whole lot of save-scumming on top of that.

I'm pretty sure if you're having trouble with the demon army, just hold out long enough and I think the game will give all your territories back.  (Unless the "demon army" is because you didn't give Miki her lemons, then yeah you're pretty fucked, Little Princess is more or less invincible in battle, start over).

After finishing the game once, further runs you an choose different routes and stuff where the story plays out very differently.


Also there's a wiki which contains walkthroughs and character clears and stuff, for the 2nd run +, when you want to do shit properly.

There's just no way to survive the attack I'm going through right now. I'm so fudgeing stupid I attacked the Mouri family and after that attack the demon army started taking over territory and before I knew it the demon army and Mouri are attacking me at the same time. =_=

If that's true then I'll definitely try it tonight.
But after the attacks I'll have no money to replenish my troops so...I'm fudgeed.

EDIT:

Okay after reading the wiki I found out that the demon army only does the blitz attack once which is good. And luckily I have a save right before this happens so...I might be able to make this work I hope. :o

If you don't give her the lemons, you will get attacked by a demon army composed of Xavier, Keikoku, Kentarou (each with like 8000 units or something) and even worse, Little Princess who RESISTS ALL DAMAGE and hits for 9000.

You're royally screwed, so give her the lemons ok?

At least you didn't attack Takeda, they will fuck you up.  They van attack you 4 times in the same turn, led by their 4 generals, and have these Chocobo (forgot what they're called) riding units that hit harder than samurai units, and have range like archers (so they an hit your back line from their back like and stuff, really hard).

As long as you don't drop Owari, you won't loose.

Also, the time when the game decides to give all demon territories to you happens at turn 82 for me.

(Before anyone goes why you so slow turn 82 only have this little amount of territories should have like everything conquered already you so bad at this game...  Err.... this is my 1st run ok, also I didn't use the wiki or anything for the 1st run.)




Later on when you're in the IF routes, don't expect the game to hold your hand and give you 1000 territories for free.  The only way you're going to get Takeda is if you actually grow the balls to attack them and win.

Sit your troops out for a turn, replenishes some lost units.

Yeahaa lol. I even got the lemons, I didn't know it was in the dungeon =P

95 turn in my first playthrough with a 0 score =3='

I don't think they  even give you any score

Well it started out at a score of 59 and went straight to 0. But I'm sure it's around the negatives haha. I keep trying to raise my score so it might be negative something~

It's because you don't really know what the fudge you're doing in the 1st run.  Noone gets anything above 0 in the 1st run.

Also, it's difficult to get a high score on the easiest difficulty (default on 1st run).

This is a screenshot of my last save in Nanjou Ran's route (2nd run), on 1 star difficulty.  Didn't have time to eat up all of Shizamu yet, dawdle any longer and Ran will get desperate and enter Sekimei's Tomb by herself and that definitely won't end well (Sekimei is this giant golden ogre thing, Ran is a little diviner girl).  Could have ended it like 20 turns early, but I just stalled time to do character clears and stuff to get points.




By the way Omachi is by far the most OP unit in the whole game, she has a giant lightning attack that hits the whole enemy team and only costs 1 single action (no preparation).  Maria is also pretty OP because her unit has fucking hand cannons, which as common sense would suggest, hit really hard and has lots of range (stick the popularity staff on her for 20 free units every turn).
