You will be happy to know - I have indeed made the scrolling smooth.  
I will consider the colored glows on icons, but I'm not much on rainbowey type stuff.

I do believe V1 or ZiNgA said it was impossible to animate the main icons, but that is a great idea, and I will give it a try.

If I can't get that to work, then I might position some kind of icon add-on animation spinning around the highlighted icon coordinate.   That way, at least the main highlighted main icon will look like it has some sort of spinning animation.

I was looking at the screenshot of your theme and i got another idea....

Can you make the Circle waves in the background move towards the direction of the arrow until they disappear and more continue to come...

OK, I have worked out a good looking animation for the main icons.

You must excuse the quality of the preview pic - the animation does not look very smooth in it.
This is because capture.prx only captures some of the frames when you screen record...

At any rate, the preview will at least give you a good idea of what I got going on here.




The animation always displays around the main highlighted icon.
What do you guys think ?

Look at TSENEDA's post here

In the first set of code he posted, you will see the alpha setting for each of the images in there.
He has it set to 0.3  


Oh - I am trying to envision how this light ring animation in the background should look.  (in my theme)
Did you mean make each of the rings light up ?  what kind of waves did you mean ?

You see the white circle thing at the top left..... you can make that rotate...

And you see all the other rings well they start moving away and fading at the same time.... more continue to come..
