ive never changed the wall on my desktop

and my laptop has only had two different ones
and i just changed it

How can i remove the words from the start button like in the very first post is it a reg edit?

Usually its just a different theme that is used.

When you right click on the Desktop -» Properties -» Appearance

You need to have a patched uxtheme.dll to use custom themes.
