Yes, you can call me that :D
And thanks, I'll give that a try.
Actually, now that the exams are over and I have like a month of free time to burn, maybe I should look into customizing my desktop. Currently it's just default everything, as default as you can get.
So what programs should I be looking at getting? And how much effort does it take? And any performance impacts? (I'm running on a quad, so unless it's like a huge performane hit, it shouldn't matter).
well as shown above in my desktop im running rainmeter and rocket dock. Also i have my taskbar on auto hide, you can't even tell the OS is Xp lol
so yea rainmeter is that fancy thing that covers your desktop in all sorts of customizable poo poo, for me i just have a bunch of RSS feeds and that clock in the middle, in terms of effort rain meter requires a bit of time for you to get things looking the way you want. I have a 1.60Ghz processor and 512mb of ram and rainmeter isn't all that intensive on it, so performance wise no change really....
and then theres rocket dock which is like macs dock but for windows, effort wise requires drag and drop for what you want in it and performance wise, again not much impact at all. My computer still runs the same with both these on.
Hope that helps Assassinator, ask the others too like joomla and trademark + the others im sure they can help you more than i can.
Ok, thanks, I'll have a look into those. :)
