just wanted to say that you are AWESOME!!! just found this thread today and read through it, tried it and it worked first time ^_^ and on Jade Cocoon: Story of the Tamamayu, one of my favorite games for the ps1. WOOT!! ^_^ I'm so happy right now.
But i was wondering... does anyone know a way to put emulators on the psp? for example, I have ZSNESW on my laptop, would it be possible to put it on the psp?
oh, by the way... is it possible to convert a save file from the psx emu to the psp? i would really like to play my games without having to start over... thanks in advance ^_^
once more... YOU ARE AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much ^_^
You will need to get the PSP versions of each emulator. They have been around for a while, so a quick google search should turn up the results you need.
@Hellgiver
thank you ^_^ i noticed you seem to be pretty knowledgeable about this sort of thing... any idea about the save games?
thank you, would you happen to know how to transfer a saved game from the psx emulator on my laptop to the psp? or from the snes emulator on my laptop to the psp? ^_^ sorry, i am new to all this...
I haven't actually used PSX emulation much, but I know for SNES, you can just transfer the saveram (.sra or .srm, I forgot) file over to where the PSP Snes9x puts them. I would assume PSX is similar. Savestates probably don't transfer all that well.
thank you for replying, especially since this thread is so old... your gui is awesome, and i have yet to have a problem with any of the games I've tried ^_^ hopefully the savestate transfers without a hitch
To transfer PSX saves, you need
CWCheat, and the .mcr file from the PSX emulator.
Install CWCheat, then take the .mcr, rename it to the game ID of the PSX game with -0 at the end, (i.e. SLPS_02100-0.mcr) and put it in ms0:/seplugins/cwcheat/mc
Load up your game, open CWCheat, and go down to Manage Memory Cards, and Load Memory Card 1 from Memory Stick, and viola, you have your PC save on your PSP.
I can't be arsed to explain everything, so if you don't know how to install CWCheat, find the GameID, whatever, Google is your friend.
sweet, thank you ^_^ I have the .mcr file and i already have CWCheat on the psp, so now it's off to google to see how to get the game id... thanks again ^_^
actually, you can just open CWCheat, and it'll tell you the gameID of the current game lol.
