i enjoyed it though.
Started sometime way back, then I decided I may want to watch the 1st Macross (well, at least the movie of it) before watching Frontier.... And then time passed.
But unlike shows I dropped, I have 100% intention of continuing with Macross F. Only watched 10 episodes or so, but I'm finding it good at least up to that point. Hope the ending doesn't just fall though (read: crappy ending), like what happened with many promising shows (eg. Claymore, Hellsing, Elfen Lied).

KnK or 5 centimeters per second for really excellent animation quality. Actually, to be fair, ef memories/melodies, Index, or Valkyria (since the previous 2 were movies with obviously much higher budgets).
marcross is like gundam, same universe, but the story doesn't really related to each other
currently downloading the first gunda to watch :p it's the best one, ever

Pro:
+Moe girls: from big boobs to small boobs, from forehead(yes, there's fetish for those, some even want SCARRED forehead) to armpit, from student council to imouto, from swimsuit to sailor uniform, got to have 'em all!!!
+Decent music: (yes, decent, not THAT good, no where near the quality of God Knows, Lost my Music, etc) Don't say 'lazy' is quite good though.
+Some light laughable original humor.
Con:
-Full of fanservice: the whole thing is fanservices.
-Shallow story: there's no depth to this one at all, you can pretty much predict what gonna happen next easily if you 've watched a few slice of life anime/manga. if it is for you then dude, you need to read/watch more stuffs, not only anime and manga.

-Poor character designs: the mangaka can draw cute girls, yes, but almost none of the girls' personality is unique at all. Yui is stupid, TOO stupid perhaps, Ritsu is background girl type, with normal sexual harassment jokes( face it, she has almost no highlight points at all), Mugi: no, just no, one messed up character. Azusa+Mio: ok face it. they are mixtures of everything 2ch finds cute: Long hair, tsundere, blushing, easy scared = crying, etc etc etc, can't list em all. the rest? you can figure by yourself
All the above stuff, perhaps removing the +Moe and fetish entry and also removing the -Poor character designs entry. I don't really care much about the moe and whatnot (it doesn't really "strike" me like it might strike you), and regarding poor character designs, while I do agree with you, I find it excusable for this kind of show.

Well, since it was your review, I took it that everything in there applied to you.
And it's not like I dislike the moe-ness in k-on, it's more accurate to say I'm mostly ineffected. When some other person watches it, like might generate feelings of (exaggeration) "OMG SUGOI MOE KAWAII DESU, [NOSEBLEED]" inside them. When I watch it, I really don't feel anything like that. Azusa puts the cat ears on, "yeah ok, whatever". Maybe my tastes are just different from everyone else's, don't know, Miyako from ef?
