Just did that Memtest86+ thing. My RAM's fine at 960MHz (2x2x240), left it on for 3 passes (had a small nap). No overvoltage whatsoever. IMO, if I so desired (which I might try just to see if i can do it or not), I may able to pull 1066 too. Only 100MHz more, and I can always overvoltage to help it climb that last hill if it can't do it normally.

Now how ironic would that be (if it happened), my 800 RAM doing 1066, while your 1066 RAM can only do 800.

Also 3dmark tells me i have 3328mb ram,. but i got 4gig,. >!?
i prob try and uninstall IE8 and run Pcmark again,.

On the main PCMark05 screen, click the "tests" tab » "select all".

Then run it again. You will get seperate scores for each of the components.

nope,. i wish!

i know i  know,. i did try with all tests selected,. but i had a "window
transparency fail" i had to set apearence settings to max and my "srart" menu to normal instead of clasic,. then i just tried the normal test,. i will try and test with all tests soon.

The score list should be split into 2 separate lists,. ;)

Would be because you're running a 32-bit OS with an 8800GTS card.

Change the reference clock (FSB for Intel systems?), or just change the memory multiplier.

About that, you should try overclocking. The Q6600 overclocks really easily, and you'd be able to get 3GHz easy. Making your CPU faster for no cost = win.

Intel chipsets have the CPU clock somewhat locked (not exactly) to the RAM clock.  You can change the latching a bit however.

Overclocking isn't exactly free :P  - it reduces the lifespan of the chip (ignoring warranty), but if you plan to upgrade your system every now and then, you probably don't care too much about lifespan.
