Don't think pcmark is compatble with i7 cpu's,. scored lower then my old quad cpu,.
Maybe because the benchmark only used 1 core,. !>?
gonne try 3dmark now,. ;)
Nice update!!

Some things only use 1 core, others use multiple cores. So if you average it out, it's possible to get a lower score than before. But in actual real life, a lot of things also use only 1 core.
EDIT: I don't think it uses 8 cores. That's where your problem lies.

Major update to the 1st post (the PowerBoard).
- Separated PCmark05 and 3Dmark06 scores into separate tables. Because of ranking problems that arise when PCMark ranks and 3DMark ranks don't match. (e.g, I have a decent PCMark score, but if I try 3DMark, will probably come last... It's an encode box, not a gaming box).
- Updated all scores as of 06/03/09 (...03/06/09 for the US people)
- Removed the "EP Scores" column. When did wee have our own benchmark? Wee never did, therefore that score doesn't exist and never will.
- Cosmetics
You forgot to fix up the rankings column for 3D Mark. Done it for you :P

Kinda weird,. lower score with i7 2.67 and 3gig DDR3 then QUAD 2.41 and 4gig DDR2,..!>?
gonne run the test again,. after i have tested 3dmark,. ;p
EDIT: i think i still got to restart because of a directx install,.

I don't think PCMark05 can use 8 cores. I think it only uses 4 (maybe except video encoding).
And (lower frequency) DDR3 might not actually be faster than DDR2, because DDR3 has more latency. That's why DDR3 is not worth it these days, especially considering the price, but Core i7 can only use DDR3, so I guess you had no choice.
Try disabling hyper threading.
The difference shouldn't be big in any case (though I'm still surprised you'd get a lower score).

Gonne test 3dmark again,. "must beat hellgiver!!"

WOOHOO 2 cores for 2nd place in PCMark :D
I tried running pcmark on the dual xeon 3.2ghz system i spoke of in the bill gates bans apple thread, but the stupid donkey program won't run :( It shows the splash screen then the program just goes away :( I know its got to be a crazy score cause it had the 2nd place score in cinebench's cinema4d public benchmark 3 months ago.

3rd now, V1 just came in with his Core i7 and raped everyone. Well, you do have 2 GPUs, so your graphics score must be pulling you up. On the other hand, I have integrated (as of now), so my graphics score is screwing me over.

Easy, overclock your CPU a bit, put that massive cooler you got to use. Should be able to pull 3.2GHz pretty easy. Currently, he has the same CPU, and slower GPU. So you should be able to beat him
What are your component scores for PCmark05?
