I use windows media player and  jet audio .These two are my favorite ..

winamp is the only thing I'll use....... personally i'd choose rape over itunes... it's just so unreliable and in a way quite typical to be honest...... i mean... why do they bother making it so that you have to sync the ipod to be identical to itunes.....

   and honestly, every time someone asks "what the hell is winamp" i just want to smack some sense into their pathetic, itunes-infected heads......
