For foobar, haven't tried online. Never used sync either, but I think it has the ability.
Winamp probably works better for stuff like ShoutCast though.

For Windows, Songbird for the win. I used to use WinAmp, until I discovered Songbird, now I'll never use anything else.

I know all cpus are difrent but it uses same amount of work load for my cpu as the foobar

I have installed four to five players on my desktop.Like Jet-Audio,VLC Player,Winamp,Media player.
But My favorite is VLC Player. The reason is It supports all type of file.While others are not.
