At the time, it's unsure whether she would die or not, with a good chance seeming that she would. And since he feels guilty for causing a death, you would expect him to feel bad about himself.
I certainly would really feel bad about myself if I caused someone to die because of a little unimportant thing I decided to do.
Assassinator Wrote:Senseito7 Wrote:I have to admit though - Mitsuki got way more than she deserved. She's definitely not going into my "Star Anime Girls" books.
Again, Haruka is an angel... you still can't help but feel for her.
Takayuki is a fudgeing wimp. If I were him I just COULDN'T leave Haruka alone when she was crying in her bed, beating up her legs. I couldn't. Takayuki is a prick. How could you leave her like that - if you love her or not? It's just plain horrible.
I have to say, I (and I would assume Zinga too) had a completely different view on this...
Anyway, you have to realize Mitsuki didn't simply "have the easy way out", not really any easier than Haruka. She completely lost her swimming "future" because of it, and she pretty much took the shits from everyone, like Akane and all the people from swimming. And you could clearly see it effected her a whole lot, her work, and she was is a pretty bad mental state for the large part of the show.
But I understand where you're coming from. Take School Days for example, (imo) Sekai is a shameless slut (hell, everyone in that show is a shameless slut. Look at Kato Otome, she's like even worse than Sekai). And if she won at the end, I'd also be like "". But then again, Mitsuki is nowhere as bad as Sekai...
From her mental state at that time (broken by guilt), along with the fact that she let Haruka have the guy at the start (even though she liked him herself) meant that she wasn't just some "evil bitch" and actually cared for Haruka and was rather reasonable through the whole thing. If she was Sekai or Otome, she would be like "haha, your disabled in bed, I win, you go die quickly now".

Not trying to be funny, but Mitsuki went 3 years fine without him. So much for effort. Anything happening between them. Then Shinji happened... and that seemed to be the trigger. DAMN THAT SHINJI! He slept with Mitsuki as well! He is the evil one!
And after Mitsuki threw herself at Takayuki some "emotions were magically unravelled" and they ended up loving each other.
I'm not being sarcastic. Honest. Because love can come later in life... and ultimately, I think, that's what this is about. Shame it had to be Mitsuki though. (Everything would be much better if it was someone else, he seemed happy as larry without Mitsuki working in the restaurant).

I don't think Shinji can really be blamed for that. He was her friend after all.

If you're worrying about someone every single moment of your life, you probably need a mental check...

Hold on... Mitsuki DID need a mental check after moving forward with Takayuki, and she did so even more after sleeping with Shinji.
Frankly Mitsuki has a little love emotion problem. I'd like to have seen Takayuki quit his job and go missing :P

Effort? What does that have to do with it? It doesn't take effort to feel guilty, probably the opposite.
Anyway, you don't know what happened then. But yes, I agree that the guy fared much worse than her.

Come on, is Mitsuki really that bad?
Hell, even Akane came to accept Mitsuki in the end.
Anyways, that incident with Shinji was because she was way "lost" at that time, way depressed and everything. It wasn't like because she wanted some "fun" or something (unlike most of the girls in School Days).
Senseito7 Wrote:(Everything would be much better if it was someone else, he seemed happy as larry without Mitsuki working in the restaurant).
You serious?
At the start he looked worse than a homeless hobo...

Its helpless forgiveness. I think. eh...

That was the flashback. It was all fine when they were seperate at the beginning.
Good point though, Mitsuki had to sleep with him to get him to snap out of it. Then they spend the rest of the 3 years seperate?
Mitsukis good at this isn't she?
Senseito7 Wrote:Assassinator Wrote:Hell, even Akane came to accept Mitsuki in the end.

I say more that she (Akane) came to understand her (Mitsuki's) position.

F
uck, this discussion is getting really gay.
Ummm... she liked him? (since the very start).

Yeah but he didn't like her. As far as I could tell - until later - 3 years later.
The conversation isn't getting that gay. I apologize if I'm focusing too much on Mitsukis mentality. I think I don't like it.
Now I feel sorry for everyone except Mitsuki.

I'm at work ^^

Can't remember any more (2+ years since I watched that show), but didn't he start liking her sometime in between?

I didn't mean "gay" as in "homosexual"...
Don't know, could be a locational thing. Over here, when you say "this is gay" it's generally taken to mean "this is bad/lame/stupid/screwed up".
I mean, you hate Mitsuki with a passion, so the discussion is getting pointless. It's becoming like an argument about which football team is better.

Didn't show anything. To give Mitsuki her due... she went to his place and confessed in the way of stripping off. Plenty of room for decisions (and yeah, Takayuki is
GREAT at making decisions...).

No no that's what I meant, Assassinator ^^
My hate is in the fact Mitsuki got Takayuki to fall for her with her body and with guilt and pain she inflicted on herself.
