lsass.exe error
I turned on my computer. I booted into Windows XP. But when it is about to go to the log-in screen (you don't actually see it) I get the error:
I was able to go on the computer in the morning, but after I got home from school, it stopped working. Anyone know why?

RE: lsass.exe error
Boot from your winXP cd and enter the recovery console, once logged into the command prompt type sfc /scannow and wait as it scans your system files for defects and replaces anything it thinks is screwed.

RE: lsass.exe error
Do you mean do sfc /scannow on run? If you do, I can't access that.
And the computer doesn't have internet, so I highly doubt it's a virus.
It shows the Windows XP loading screen, but then it brings up that error.
By the way, I have a Linux partition I can boot into.
edit: Last time I tried enter recovery I didn't know my admin password.

Do that. Like I said.
sfc /scannow

RE: lsass.exe error
use the windows xp install disk, that's what ug means
when the welcome screen appears (on the setup), press R to enter recovery
then select the partition and THEN do sfc /scannow
