I'll probably go through it.  Although awesome for a free game, I'm not terribly fond of it at the moment (not because of the cripples - To be honest I think that's unique - mainly just not exciting me).

I can see why you might think that. I'm finding going through Act 1 multiple times a tiresome process. I probably had the patience to go through it a couple of times but going through the same events with some variation is making me realize I probably judged it too highly. Things get more interesting when you enter a route.

Holding the ctrl button skips text, this is universal among all VNs.  Make sure you set the settings to skip unread text only (should be default).  I don't really think anyone reads the same stuff over as many times as there are routes.

Ever17 made me rage back then because the skip function in that sucks ass and is extremely slow (not that much faster than spamming mouse click as fast as you can) and there's 5 routes.  Literally sat there for like 20 minutes every route waiting for skip.  Oh there's YU-NO too, which is the most unpleasant thing to skip ever, not only is it slow but you also have to dictate every move your character does (equivalent to like making 200 choices), but that's made 15 years ago so lets not complain too much about that.

Muv-Luv Alternative (linear story, no routes), must be like 50-70 hours or something.  But it didn't feel that long because MLA is like the best thing I've read.

F/SN is longer, and the longest thing out of everything translated, if you count the whole thing and not just 1 route.

Translation news....  Ixrec finished translating Forest, moving onto Rewrite.
Forest is supposed to be good, but probably not the type of thing you guys like, so whatever.
According to what I heard, Rewrite sucks and is the worst major title from Key up to now.  It's massively long and only the final route/s are any good.  His editor who's also his girlfriend is a Keyfag and talked him into translating it :\
