(03/11/2011 06:34 PM)Tetris999 Wrote:  Hey vacui, I was always wondering, since you are lesbian I was wondering what your opinions are of yourself and men. Obviously I'm not homosexual myself, but I was under the impression that homo-related people consider themselves in parity of the opposite gender (so a girl has manly qualities and vice versa). So in theory, a girl that is homo would be someone I'd treat as if they were male, vice versa. Is that the case though? Or do you still see yourself as female but just don't like guys, to me I figured that your sexuality determines what gender you are, which technically is somewhat true as sexually reproductive organs/hormones do tell what "gender" you are.

Yes yes, offtopic, I'm bad, but I've been dying to ask this question.

I see myself as a female.  I never thought I was a male.  I've just known I've liked women ever since I was a little girl.  I've had a crush on my pre-school teacher, and a girl in my class. I wrote a letter to that girl that said, "I love you" and I drew a pig on it (which was the only thing I could draw at the time) anyway, she smiled, hugged, and kissed me on the cheek.  I liked that :D

Anyway, when I was little... I just thought it was normal for another girl to like another girl.  It wasn't until I was 11 years old I found out that society frowned upon it.  Did I try to stop being a lesbian after finding that out?  Yes, because I come from a very religious family, and I was disgusted with myself.  But... I realized that I just didn't like guys.  I never found them attractive.  I don't see what girls see in men.  I don't see what other men see in men :/  Guys just don't appeal to me.  I prefer the gentleness of a woman.  That's all.

By the way... I've been meaning to say this.   I've had my first kiss :D  But it was by a guy named "Bruce".  He thought he could "cure" me, but, surprise surprise, I'm still a lesbian.  I felt nothing from that kiss.  I agreed to let him kiss me too.  I just thought he was nice, and I figured... "I'm 20 years old and I've never kissed anyone before so... why not?"  So I wasted my first kiss.  Oh well~  It doesn't bother me.

RE: Goddammit.
Well that's kind of discriminatory don't you think? I've seen guys that are the most gentle people in the world and I've seen females so obnoxious I wanted to punch them in the face. Hell, men can have body types that can parallel that of women (take a look at aspheric, dat Halloween outfit was hawt).

Then again, I may just be misunderstanding this, and the statement "I don't see what other women see in men" and the fact that you are commenting on the fact of "socially acceptable men" which translates to big hairy brutes, which I'd argue isn't true. I mean, if I dressed up as a female and softened my voice and the like, wouldn't you accept me then? Because it seems that you're basing your sexuality on social qualities/appearance rather than the whole male/female discrimination. So point being, would you fall for a man impersonating a woman, therefore the whole man/female thing doesn't apply correct? Just the presentation.

I'm sorry if I come off offensive anywhere, this is usually a touchy topic :/

Well yeah, that's the point, I always thought that being a man constituted the fact that I seeked females. If I just did it based on the fact that "such and such has a nice body / is cute" and not for sexually reproductive purposes, I'd just be bisexual. The thing that holds me back from that though is that I AM a man and I should only seek companionship in the pool of females. So sexual discrimination and status would apply only to those who consider themselves of one pool seeking the other. My whole point is, I thought that homo people are kinda like us, but yet they are different as well, as they base their opinions on the personality/appearance of a person as well. See how this contradictory though?

It's not offensive at all, and you're wrong.  When I say I prefer the "gentleness of a woman" I'm talking about touch and how they feel.  Women's skin and lips are softer than a man.  I also don't want a penis inside of me.  I don't care how good it might feel, I just don't want it near me.  I won't let a girl fuck me with a strap-on either :/  I'd prefer oral...  Also, a man can be as feminine as he wants to be, doesn't mean that I will fall in love with him.  I talk to Aspheric almost everyday, and I'm still not in love with him.  Yeah, he looked hot as a girl, but as long as he has a penis, I don't want him.  He's a nice guy, but I still don't like him like that.

It's hard to explain my sexuality.  I'm not expecting you to understand, because you don't believe I was born this way, but it's all I've ever known really.  It's not like I grew up with gay people around me, or seen it on TV when I was young.  The first time I saw two girls kiss was when I was 11, and that was Buffy the Vampire Slayer, when Willow was making out with her new girlfriend Kennedy.  Seeing a man and a woman make-out, makes me want to hurl.  I don't want to see to straight people go at it, as much as a heterosexual doesn't want to see two gay people going at it.

As for what's "socially acceptable" I could care less what society thinks of me.  I can't change who I am, despite what others may believe.  Even if I could, I wouldn't.  I'd rather die.  I am not going to pretend to be something I'm not to make others happy or more comfortable around me.  I've done that all through high school, and it only made me depressed and suicidal.  I can't see myself happy with a man.  I don't want a man; I want a woman.

Whoah whoah, that "socially acceptable" statement was just applying to the fact of what society at large would expect a man to do, e.g. A huge amount of people believe that a man shouldn't wear lingerie, stuff like that. I guess it's not right to say "socially acceptable" but more like "social norm" (hence this is why I like my computer to do paragraphs like this). I used the wrong word I guess, sorry!

And also, you're jumping to a conclusion based on what I've said (which may or may not have had the best clarity) and not what I believe. So I'll be clear cut with it, yes, I believe that every birth is different, because sexual reproduction is more of a miracle than what people believe. There are SO many things that can determine the outcome of a person (for example, I don't have bi-lateral sight, this would be considered a defect in my birth unfortunately :/ ) so I do believe that people can be born with something that differs from everybody else, I mean, have you ever seen (other than twins) two different people share common traits?

Point being, the human body is miraculous and a lot of things can happen with birth, this attraction to females can be one of them, the only reason why some people would say it's flawed/disliked/whatever is because it yields no children. That doesn't mean you're wrong and should feel bad about yourself, no, wee have plenty of people reproducing already, who cares, I think you're a wonderful person already. :/

*breath* soooooooooooooooooooooooo...!

I've come to the conclusion that you see yourself as a female (which is true) that just pursues other females, much like how a man pursues females. Therefore, you DON'T disagree with your gender (you were born female, you're not some man in a females body), and you will discriminate against a man based on his sexuality.

So there's just NO WAY that a man will ever hit up with you, much like how it's the same way for me, because no matter on how close he will get to being "feminine" that whole penis thing is a no no. To be honest, wee're really similar in our chain of thought, it's just that our genders are different. That works.

I just thought that you were one of those "I'm stuck in a man's body and vice versa" and I've never clearly established grounds that there are homo people than can exist that believe they are the right gender and go after the same gender. You don't need to "appear" manly (e.g. having a beard, short hair, whatever constitutes a man these days, vice versa) to prove that you are attracted to the opposite sex, no, you can be as girly as you like (long hair, soft skin, little amount of body hair) and still be homo along those lines.

Also, yeah it's true, I wouldn't understand something you're born with, much like the fact you wouldn't know how it's like to have two eyes that look in different directions; I'm not judging you, I'm just curious is all.

Wouldn't it technically be possible that you can arouse yourself on the sight of your own body then?

I hope you aren't TL;DR'ing my posts, I'll just stop if you feel that you don't want to read them, I won't consider it offensive if you don't want to answer my question/read my shit, you're entitled to give and not give an answer on your discretion.

Not really, I'm bi and and am attracted to both males and females equally but I don't think it's possible to be aroused by your own body.

Anyway, I guess you can say that my chain of thought when it comes to women is similar to a heterosexual male's, well... the attraction part.  I'm certainly not thinking about thrusting a penis inside of her lol.  Not that I'm saying you were implying that :P

I pretty much agree with what you said in that paragraph, actually.  It seems like you get it XD

No, I don't TL;DR your post.  I have no problem reading long posts lol.

Also, no, I am not attracted to my own body lol.
