Its New Zealand, there's only 4 million of us and it takes no time at all to get anywhere in the country. Long distance relationships mean nothing. If he really wants to see her he can catch a plane and be there within 45minutes.

Aha I was prepared for those kind of skeptical replies, and I guess it does sound unlikely with my lack of explanation of details and the situation.

Wee're actually really close and serious about this relationship. Both of us were really unhappy with our lives before wee met each other; I had some depression that she helped me to get over and she has issues with her parents she talks to me about. Going through such troubles together can only bring people closer. Wee have a lot in common. So she's really like a close friend as well as a girlfriend, and wee both agree it would be amazing to spend our lives together so that is our dream! I can't imagine myself with anyone else, and she feels the same. She's really quite mature for her age (and I'm fairly immature for mine) so wee get along really well xD

Wee're quite romantic a lot as well aha. I kissed her within 20 minutes of first meeting her. Scariest thing I've ever done in my life, but it was damn magic~

I'm the kind of guy who looks only for lifelong relationships, don't bother with one-night stands and flings and whatever else. Not many girls think the same, so it's quite amazing that I have a girl like her :)

Well if you can stay as friends for three years, would the family be ok with that? I'm serious dude, disregarding a girls family can be a really big mistake; even if you can get past the spoon they put you through, they will HATE you until the end of your days if you don't watch your step; are you okay with something like that?

There's no doubt that wee are more than friends, and wee will stay that way for these three years. Her family knows about me but if they really hated me that much they'd stop her from talking to me at all, which they don't do. So I think in three years' time, they will not hate me and it'll be okay. In three years when I pick her up to move in with me, I intend to look them in the eye and tell them that I love their daughter.
