just something to look at...
also see ati crossfire

What motherboard do you have?
What processor is on it?
That should affect your decision greatly.
I would stick to ati for amd or nvidia for intel. If not, your bound to run into problems.
Hmm interesting concept there, execpt hta i have been using Nvidia/AMD combos for years, without any hitches, and all of the intel/ATi combos i have encountered have been running similarly well for ages
There is no issue, just because the company is the same!!!
Still, for my say. Depends on the prices your paying. I got a 9600 for £70, and i must say that for the money its an insane GPU. However, the average price of a 9600 does not justify its overall capability, so unless you can find one at a knocked down price, go with the 3870. Also, if your willing to splash out, get a 4850 which anhialiates (i can't spell that word) anything in the Nvidia 9 series

RE: nVidia or ATI?

My MO is the BIOSTAR TForce TP43D2A7, which support 1 PCI Express 2.0 x16
My CPU is C2D E7200 Wolfdale 2.53GHz, OC'd to 3.2 (ya! but not on stock cooling)
My current graphics card is Geforce 7200 that's really at age right now (random crashes and not so powerful...)

with pci express I would say nvidia
Ati uses agp so you won't get the most out of it without an agp board
I would still look at what brand your cpu is whether AMD or Intel.
I looked it up and wolfdale is intel so I would probably stick with the nvidia. It looks like the better option. (system compatability wise, I haven't seen the actual cards)
