I'm 15 on Monday by the way :D

when i do get a job eventually, i know i will have enough money. its just that first I'm saving for a new phone because mine is spoon (I'm thinking of the Nokia 6300) then I'm planning to get a new PC as seen in my "Notebook VS Desktop" Thread.
Then at the end of the year I'm going to Italy (more specifically, Milan) as an exchange student for about 6-8weeks and i need to save for that aswell (the spending money, not the flight charge :P). because last year i hosted an exchange student and this year I'm going to his house this time :D
I always wanted to go and see what it'd be like to be an exchange student...  But then, I never could be stuffed.
Hope you enjoy it!

ben3gfc Wrote:one thing about paying for an ISP: what if one day i get fired or quit my part-time job (meaning i wouldn't earn anymore...), isn't there charges for leaving at a certain time?
I think you pay in advance.  If not, just set aside some money for it.

ben3gfc Wrote:by the way, update on dad finding out about the 64kb/s speeds: he has been on the internet including going on emails and viewing picture attachments today, and he doesn't seemed to have noticed anything because he hasn't spoken to me, so i don't think he could tell the difference :P
which is really good for me, now i have to just wait until Thursday or Saturday until my speeds go back up and i download games better :D
Email?  Do you use an email client?  If so, just pre-download everything :P

thanks, i think i will enjoy it :D

what i sort-of meant to say is that if i somehow end my job (when i get one) i will have to end my ISP connection with that company, and if i get hired someone else later, i would have to sign up again. and also if i didn't get another casual job for a while, i would have no internet :(

what do mean exactly? i have lots of emails, Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo (don't check it). i meant he checked his emails and didn't notice anything unusual in the speeds :D
what do you mean by pre-download? :P

He means by an email client, something like Microsoft Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird.

^^Everyone does in Australia...  unless you get an "unlimited" plan (which costs heaps).

RE: Telstra are fcuk heads
UPDATE: ok somehow when I've checked my internet speed just before, it has gone back up from dial-up.
see here:
it shouldn't have because the new month hasn't started yet. i don't know if dad phoned up or Telstra just realized their mistake without me saying anything.

doesn't matter, its all fixed and I'm happy :D:D:D:D:D

RE: Telstra are fcuk heads
Same here...2Mb is slow, but worth it for infinite downloads

2Mb Unlimited will keep me going all month, 8Mb at 40Gb wouldnt last me a week knowing me (pretty much the only options available)
