Wee are trying this 30 test on this new ISP and on the first day I already got to tweaking!



The speedtest results show that I got TWICE as much as the plan offered (512kbps)

Well it reads in kilo BITS not BYTES.

1byte is = 8bits so you divide that by 8 and you get your download speed.

I know mine is not fast compared to yours but it is almost like 3 times faster than my old ISP so I am just sooooo HAPPY!

YOu did it right, but comcast is pushing for the big e-pen0r by giving the first 50mb of downloads at 20-26mb/s...which is why you see 24980 ;)

Their fastest package is 8mb down 1mb up then it goes to the business class and the only difference is upload is 2mb.

Where are you?  Im in illinois on comcast as well  ;)
