Why is your upload so shit if you got fiber?

Shouldn't it be like parallel?
Telstra allocate spoon upload speeds to their fibre plans.  The higher plan is worse (comparatively), at 100Mbps down, 2Mbps up.
NBN is way more reasonable, at 25/5Mbps, 50/20, 100/40.

Interestingly, this plan is rated at 30/1Mbps, so I'm getting more than advertised.
How long's your contract?
My shlong is:

this is what i got can't do anything since i live in a province + it's expensive (and there's only 1 local DSL Internet Provider here)

1 mbps = 999 (PHP) = $23 (currently my plan)
1.5 mbps = 1499 (PHP) = $34
2 mbps = 1999 (PHP) = $46
2.5 mbps = 2499 (PHP) = $58

there are also mobile broadband services here too (which are new here) but i heard that their services + speed is poo poo & unstable

No contract (month to month) + no setup fee (though Telstra charge $299 connection fee).
iiNet probably have the largest amount of unmetered content from any ISP (maybe except Telstra).  iiNet and Internode can access each other's content for free, so a heap load of free content available.  They're both like the best ISP in Australia, but you typically pay a premium for them.
