Was it not simply the awkwardness of the situation? The silence and lack of thought and eventually just losing their minds and then returning back to their mind while playing a game - realizing just how ridiculous they were being.. I couldn't help but laugh out loud. ^^'

Agreed - Ep8 was a weak episode - for us at least. You can tell that a lot of language puns are used in Nichijou but only very rarely do wee get TL notes :(

Still, the show up till then has been more than funny enough.

Kinda what I thought.  Also the strips/blackness used around the characters often done in similar types of shows.  Which goes away and the brightness/colours return at the end, making the whole thing seem like a joke, but I really didn't find the whole thing amusing for the amount of buildup they had.

anyways Oretachi has good character buildup but i don't think it will live up as a full pledge comedy ecchi anime, lol

well neither do i watched danball senki, though i like the game since it was came from Level-5 and seen some trailers for the game, hope that you could direct me to his site so that i can watch the anime series subbed, :P

I've tried the game, it's very cool. just like yu gi oh where you can explore city to fight other kids (danball has better map though). and instead of cards, wee fight using customizable model kits.

I think Nichijou kinda started to degrade after awhile, I'm only watching it now for the little professor bits really, and the gun scenes.
