so i just found the "0-12.bmp", wave configs and icon configs for ps3
i was kinda hoping that there's something happened regarding ps3 flash0 themes in the years i spent away from looking into this, but guess not.
....if you want it done,  got to do it yourself i guess..
bleh.

this spoon was stored as a plain text file inside a certain module in ps3's Flash0...
im sure you psp theme gurus know what this file is capable o, just by looking at it's contents.

also, the 0-12.bmp of the ps3 is a set of .dds images, which i have managed to extract.
repacking it is just a matter of writing an unpacker/repacker for the file container holding these.
the same file also contains a plain text configuration of the XMB wave, meaning it can be customized too.

edit:
raw view of 0-12 images in texture finder, they're mipmapped, so the ydont display correctly, but once the file can be unpacked, editing them is easy, as they are just normal .dds

im still trying to figure out how to get the stupid donkey wave to draw on top of a wallpaper.
it was easier on psp where the wave was just an object defined in an RCO. Not on ps3 though -__-

Hi @mugi o/

I think the foreground display buffer is reserved for what sony calls "widgets" (like the notification window at top-right corner, or the messages at bottom-right with "press triangle for options") and also used by the "xmb in-game" (only available inside games)

So initially... displaying the wave in the foreground i think could be a bit complicated, maybe there is some trick for it but i can't imagine how

Keep the good work, im interested to see how much of the PSP tricks can be used in PS3 Wis

the problem is that the wave is drawn on the plane called default_theme_BG which also contains the little dds "wallpaper" and i have been unable to separate these 2
i can draw the dds image over the wallpaper but that is of no use if the wave doesn't move with it and until i figure out how to remove the dds itself (you can't make it transparent and removing it will crash the ps3)

on a side note, i decided to release the tool that allows access to the wave configurations i quoted above,
