RE: OS X Mountain Lion Announced
So Mac is no longer Mac and only an X divides it from iOS. At this rate they're gonna fuse together. >_>

RE: OS X Mountain Lion Announced
Lion was a bust. Last OS X I used that was worth using was Snow Leopard. Pretty sure this is gonna be a flop too. Lion just came out and they're already jumping to 10.8. It's like Mozilla all over again.

^ Apparently they're switching to yearly releases. Not quite Mozilla but an acceleration for Apple nevertheless.

RE: OS X Mountain Lion Announced
I've been playing with Lion in VM. Nothing special really, I was surprised. I agree that Snow Leopard was the last 'good' release.

RE: OS X Mountain Lion Announced
It seems that there's a push to integrate more things into the OS.
Just look at Windows...
[rant] I say it's the effect of technology being increasingly aimed at tech illiterate people
(although arguably, also for those who can't be bothered setting things up)

RE: OS X Mountain Lion Announced
Surely Apple should eventually need to be forced to make a cut down version a la Windows 7 N?
I'd much prefer if laptops in Europe sold with 7 N but they're not - I don't understand what the EU have achieved by making MS create these editions that aren't used by manufacturers.
