So the much anticipated iPhone 5 actually turned out to be a 4S, and not too much a difference from the 4.  Seems like the iPhone is just playing catch up with the latest Android phones at the moment.

I don't know the specs of the original 4, but here's a summary of what's new:
  • Dual core CPU like in the iPad 2
  • 7x graphics performance
  • Redesigned antenna, to ensure you can't hold it wrong
  • Supports both CDMA and GSM in one
  • Their experimental "Siri" AI system, which tries to answer your questions that you ask via voice (I generally don't trust these systems, but if it's Apple, it could be decent)
  • 8MP camera
No mention about RAM, so possibly the same.

Well there's hardly any reason to upgrade for any software related things, just wait for the Jailbreak/Homebrew community, I'm sure Siri will be on the iPhone 4 and maybe 3GS faster than Apple can patch anything Hihi
