It could also mean that from now on, all updates will be cumulative - that is, if you've been out of the loop for quite a while and suddenly upgrade to the latest firmware, you won't have to go through the long, hard slog of upgrading through the previous firmwares you've missed. Convenient, and definitely justifies the 24-hour delay.

actually da once hacked the updater to send his cfw files to psp but they were zipped and without the ofw files. doomsdays idea is old

Mathieulh reports that there are still something that Dark AleX needs to iron out before declaring 3.80 M33 a finished product - namely, the NIDs Resolver that allows the launch of homebrew programs in Kernel mode. It will also help in making sure that all the plug-ins present will be usable without any extensive modifications. It's safe to say that while this doesn't sound like much, it's still a very important (and very time-exhaustive) thing to work on, so wee'll just have to be patient until DAX ties up all the loose ends.

UPDATE: Those hoping to pick up the 3.80 M33 custom firmware may have to wait a few more days. It's come to our attention that Mathieulh has given a small update on the work for the CFW. According to him, work is currently being finished on the NIDs Resolver, and wee may very well see a release within the next week or so.

That being said, wee suppose everyone will just have to keep patient in the meantime. Wee'll keep checking around for updates, just in case in comes out sooner than expected, so feel free to keep QJ bookmarked for the latest updates on the upcoming CFW.
