Few possibilities:

1) The password is blank
2) You entered something during install
3) You have a silent install disc which automatically sets up a password

Solutions
1) Just press enter
2) Reinstall
3) Get a new version

im reinstalling now but the disk is being gay now and saying something about a cyclo disk error or sutting like that so im jus guna burn a new disk and im downloading a new xp

guys i got another issue now it won't let me install a thing it jus says ikernel.exe error or something. and i realy want to install my wifi drivers

check your hdd for errors.
if that is ok suspect your memory.
another posibility is apm. when i try and install xp on my machine now the apm must be deactivated or it blue screens and won't complete install. strange but true. perhaps its something like that.
