RE: HowTo - HighRes background pictures on 3.52(M33)
Just want to say thanks for the info and appz SHIFT-Key.  I now have 2 themes using this tutorial.  Both have glows without shadows.

These are the following rcos that need to be reduce to make the topmenu work.
topmenu, system_plugin, and system_plugin_fg.

Try to remove as much waste as possible.
Crop the best you can around the icons.
Relinking is a great way to save space.

Here's my P360 Theme using your tutorial.  Thanks again!

Wow... Reducing this 3 modules is the simplest way to fix the theme.
Thanks SSChevy2001.

Best results with my JPEG-Encoder
  • For very colorized pictures use 'Max Quality' and move the slider to something between '75 - 85'
  • For pictures wich have more than 70% the same color (eg: picture of a Leaf = Green), use 'Max Quality' and move the slider to something between '80 - 95'

I did all this, and I've got all the icons fixed, but my 01-12.bmp only displays every other image I set, and when I click on "original" in the theme menu, the other 6 are now visible but the original 6 become all white

I put both files in a zip file since I couldn't attach them individually.

for the 01-12.bmp, I followed the guide exactly. And I'm almost positive I did the hexediting and recompression of vshmain.prx correctly also.

Attached File(s)
.zip  01-12.bmp and vshmain.prx.zip (Size: 322.08 KB / Downloads: 180)

You have edited the vshmain.prx well, but it has an error... Don't know why :S
I've done a new one, you can download it below. This works fine for me and I hope for you too

I'm still getting the same error even when using the new file, maybe it's the system version.  I'm on 3.52 M33-4, do you think that make a difference?
