Threaded Mode | Linear Mode

The GBA/PSP versions are insultingly easy. Real men play either the NES version or the FF Origins version. I personally prefer the latter, though it arguably has the worst translation of all the versions.

You're not missing out much. All the level 8 spells save for NulAll and Flare are completely worthless. And the latter two have extremely limited use in the NES and Origins versions. You should've used a White Wizard instead of the Knight. Unlike the versions for men, the White Wizard is actually worth using whereas the Knight is actually quite bad (Compared to the Ninja and Master).

Yeah it helps... if you're sacred of his physical attacks. IMO the main difficulty with Chaos comes from his special moves, Blizzaga and Flare.

ive tried once the Nes version of FF1 and ive almost stuck because of the difficulty so ive not finished that though, also with the origins version, so i tend to play the gba version since i need also to play some other games and do a rush mode lol (yeah i know its the easy type) , anyways its good Chaos don't cast flare on me, only blizzaga that ive managed to cured with my red wizard and ninja

Just finished Android version on level 51.
Yeah boss is a fair bit harder than most, but with a White Wizard, just cast Healaga in response to all his spells, which pretty much heals 200-300 to everyone.

I've personally found the Knight to be better than the Ninja. Slightly less damage, but way better defense.
