Too much information
I think I have a glaring problem with the way I talk and that is dragging out ideas into large paragraphs.

I assume that when I respond to people with a hefty post, that they read most of it, but usually I feel this is never the case.

SO! My question is, on average if I were to reply to something, what would be something "readable" in your opinion? How far would you be willing to read to understand what someone was saying? What turns you off from a paragraph of writing in general?

I'll make a poll for fun, it works by you outlining your usually accepted range for posts in general, so you can tick multiple choices to represent that range.

Give me some ideas for keeping my writing to an absolute but understandable minimum, or you can just tell me my writing is just fine I guess.

EDIT: I don't think I made much sense with the comments on the polls, oh well, I kinda designed it so that you could represent a circumstance where you'd read something out of your comfort range but also outlining it as well.

For example, say I usually read 1-2 posts but when zinga posts I usually read the whole thing, I'd select options 1 and 5.

Derp derp.

RE: Too much information
I read all posts, and will usually read through entire threads if they are 10 pages or less lol.

I too, usually write in a long-winded way, but it's because I like detail and to get everything across to the reader. Additionally, I still miss stuff out sometimes and have to immediately edit my posts!!

My view: people are either interested in what you have to say or they're not, regardless of post length. Bollocks to those who won't give an extra 30 seconds reading time to hear what you have to say. :D

RE: Too much information
How much I read, or whether any at all, usually depends on the topic, and to a lesser extent, also on the poster.
