It's starting up huge shitstorms in Japan. I guess people are mad that it's short, non-ero, non-voiced, incomplete (part 1 of 3?) and still selling for full price. Also, people probably had sky high expectations and stuff, which the game probably did not live up to.

So yeah, really awesome(ly bad) ratings.

Ofcourse, that's just a lot of hating, so you want to wait a few weeks for ratings to stabilize a bit more.  Either way, I wouldn't expect too much.

EDIT: Now it's been more than a month, should have been long enough.  Median 80, Mean 73.53, which is alright I guess.

Japanese otakus are silly.  You have examples of stuff like Asairo (Kitto, Sumiwataru Asairo Yori mo,), which despite supposedly being a very good game, received massive shitstorms because it only has 1 single route and only 3 h-scenes (only 1 with actual penetration).  3 years later it still has a sub-80 rating.

If you mean the 40 median, yes, that's bad. Very very bad. However it's currently just people hating, should go back up later.

Oh right. I found out that DEARDROPS works on some sort of weighing points system and found a walkthrough to get to all four choices. I just skim throuigh Kanade's and Yayoi's cause I don't really have time. I'm on Rimu's one now
