RE: Cox Cancelled my Internetz!
yeah it seems I'm having trouble finding alot of these options and things, since I'm on a mac, i have since switched to utorrent for mac

outgoing encryption enabled
randomize port during launch

I'm still unsure about filters, I'm looking into it

edit

okay it appears it already exists and is enabled standard on utorrent for mac, i just have to populate the list with ip addresses, next question would be, where do you guys using ipfilter get your list from?

Filters are pointless IMO.
Encryption should usually be enough for ISP - I doubt they search IPs on trackers.

Transmission should have the option, if not in the GUI, in the configuration file.

RE: Cox Cancelled my Internetz!
Just so you know, Cox doesn't look through your downloads and report you. What happens is the company who licensed the show contacted Cox because your ip was found to have downloaded their license material so then they send a DMCA takedown notice. I have had Cox since I was 9 and only had like 2 movies reported, despite constantly downloading anime and movies from public trackers. Now Century Link is a different story, my girlfriend has service with them and they hit her with 30 takedown notices at once, most of which I also downloaded at the same time. So it's my theory that Century Link actually reports your downloads.

yeah, i know they told me, they get warnings about me and then they take action based on what they think is best, and they have applied a new policy of 3 strikes, well whatever, i can always get a new isp, just don't want to, cox has never let me down with interruptions or speed, always been happy

If it's the copyright holders reporting you, then encryption probably won't help much since they just scrape your IP from trackers.

Which is where filters come in handy. I use peerblock myself. But for transmission you can find blocklists. Google peeblock blocklists or something.

How so?
You do realise that Peerblock does absolutely nothing to stop copyright enforcers scrapping IPs from trackers, right?
