Hmm. The res files are somehow connected to the files in system32. Because the 4-digit suffix numbers in the res files are the same as the one's in system32 folder. So, yeah, something's up. I contacted the author of Sevenmizer and he said I should have just uninstalled the program. But when I was uninstalling Sevenmizer (even before I use the system restore point) I accidentally pressed the install again. So it's uninstalling Sevenmizer at the same time installing it again. So when my laptop was running very slow because of that problem, I had nothing to do than use a restore point to make things work. So, maybe I'll just install the program again and then uninstall it completely. I still don't know what to do, I'll just maybe wait for the author's reply.

In fact, I doubt any programs are really designed to handle these situations because it can easily lead to race conditions.

Restoring system files will probably "fix" things, but not remove junk.  If you want all traces gone, and don't know how to manually do stuff, wipe the system and reinstall everything.

Unless you're referring to the "reinstall" option, which is different.

If I reinstall Sevenmizer then uninstall again, would that take the Sevenmizer folder in C://WINDOWS. I contacted the author and he said I should have uninstalled it instead of doing restore point. So, what do you think?

Installing it again, then uninstalling it completely might do it. Issue being the installer may make backups of the new files that were left over the previous Sevenmizer install but you're running out of options now. If all else fails and you really want to revert you may want to consider your options for a repair/re-install of XP. Just make sure your data is safe in case things go wrong.

Ok. I'll try to install it again later when the author replies. Ohh, and will disk cleanup help in deleting those files? Anyway, this is the Sevenmizer description in the place where I downloaded it (this might help, so I'll give it a go):

The SevenMizer application was designed to help you transform your Windows XP, MCE or Server 2003 into the look of Windows 7. Therefore nearly 400 files with new Icons, pictures as well as videos are modified. This means that SevenMizer does not provide own files and change your system files.

That has the advantage that SevenMizer works with each language and no changes of the language specifics are made. The installer is so developed that you have completely the change which will be modified and which not. Even if you select files, which are possibly not at all on your system available or not compatible, the application recognizes this and jumps over these.

This ensures that the system does not become unstable because of wrong modification. After updates if your system data are overwritten, then a renewal of these is possible by using an extra program that is linked by the SevenMizer. The application examines thereby, which files are updated and re-modify only these.

No no I'm just talking generally. Don't worry about it. The description if of the pack doesn't really help you to be honest. It's good that you're in contact with the author as he might be able to give further insight.

Refer to my last post as to what option you have at the moment.

Hmm, okay, that's good news for me then cause I don't need to worry. Actually, it's okay for me to have that win7 splash screen cause it looks cool, I'm just worried that my Mom would see it. And I'm not sure if she'll throw out random questions on how I got that splash and I just really don't want to hear her sermon so I'm trying to fix it without really sending it to a computer shop or something like that. So, Endless Paradigm and the author is my only chance on solving this. And I'm pretty happy that you guys are helping me out :) So, yeah, I'll try to install it again but I'm still confirming it from the author if that would really help. I guess, wee have different timezones so he's not gonna reply till later.
