Ah, but bear in mind that teen years are also there for you to screw things up, that's not a given when you're older. Once you're dead in the water, you're dead in the water.

Teenagers have that fall-back of parents if things start getting bad, I'm quite happy for it at this time.

 Maybe dead in the water is a bit too much, but I doubt your parents are going to help you invest your time in redoing your education for a different position in life
