Every where I look I keep seeing PS Vita release day "leaks" posted on every site. And I just want to tell every one, these are not leaks but rather, rumors.

You can goto any site, Walmart, Gamestop, bestbuy, they all give different dates for when the Vita will be shipped to you or when you can pick it up in the store, why? Because all these "release dates" are speculations. I talked to a couple of gamestop stores (nothing like calling up the big boys at gamestop just talking to GS managers).

Anything not confirmed by official sources can be considered rumours really.
And even those stated from official sources can change.

If you're a flexible consumer, small details such as exact release date aren't really a big issue IMO.

Yea... but I'm getting tired of sites like PSP-Hacks or JoyStiq posting "news" about a leaked Vita release date... after they've already posted a different "leaked" vita release date that was different from this one... I mean really?

Not from Sony == Rumor. Simple as that.

Lol you guys misunderstand my post. I know most educated gamers know that all this is just rumors, but I know a TON of n00bs that, every time a rumor about the Vita release date is out they go and act like Jesus is coming back.

And I do ignore the rumors (I look at em though because I has a bet on when it'll come out xD) but it doesn't help when very established well known sites like Joystiq or PSP-Hacks post's these rumors, and they don't clearly state that it is just a rumor.

That's all I'm saying :P

Thank God wee don't have that here. Then again, I'm sure God wouldn't be terribly happy about Jesus coming back, or that people consider console rumours to be as interesting as Jesus coming back. (or possibly the fact that Jesus won't be coming back so the rumours are just as fruitless XD)

But look on the bright side - it can be amusing to play "rate the rumour" and watch opposing users dish it out on each other, with very little evidence supporting either side ;).

"Established site" = n00b infested hell.
They target their audience after all.
