What are some advantages of rooting?
I'm not sure if i should root my Incredible.

I am not sure so far i just uninstalled my stock apps that were takeing up my droids cpu usage up.

Full access to the root directory.

Thanks I also want to delete some apps, but I don't want to void my warranty by rooting so that is why I'm looking for advantages.

well so far i removed all the ads from the free ad supported appz
i keep looking at these "roms" but i am smart enuff to know they are not talking about n64 emulator romz.

Anyone know if it is safe to killz Google messaging service?
I'm thinking of uninstalling it because it always startz back up and wastes RAM.

If it's rooted, install AdFree to remove ads. Also, it only voids the software portion of your warranty, not the hardware portion. If you want a ROM, install Rom Manager from the Market. If Cyanogenmod is available for your phone, go with that. It's a great beginner ROM.

Yay i have a HTC Incredible as well!!! flashed and rooted with everything.
