Hello!
I'm still on the firmware 5.50 GEN-D3 (Prometheus) and I was wondering if upgrading is worth it...if so.. what is the safest way to upgrade from GEN » ME?
I seem to see that all the themes are for 6.38/6.20/6.35 now..

i wouldnt suggest ME due to its unknown level of safety, i myself would go 620pro or 620tn. with pro u cn have it permanent, so its very similar (in terms of useage) to gen.

FOR 6.38 ME
Go PSP-HACKS and download OFW 638 and 638ME.

Put the UPDATE folder from 638me download into GAME
Now get a 638.PBP and put it in the UPDATE FOLDER aswell.
Now if ur on CFW, just run it.
If you get 'your firmware is at 9.99, there is no need to update' youl have to change your VERSION.TXT (google it, plenty of tuts)

It just depends on your point of view, i had no problems with 550gend3prom4
But i ws bored of it, and in anticipation of PRO C w online.

6.20 TN is permanent for PSP 2000 right? it doesn't reboot when quitting a game?
also, do you still need isotool for the XMB ISO icons to show up? through Prometheus ISO loader?

6.20 Tn is not permanent, but there is a permanent patch if u like!!!
No need of iso tool, no iso loader as well... if u r using the latest version 6.20 TN-E!!!

whoops! I was talking about 6.20 PRO for PSP 2000 (Hackable) By the way..I sucessfully installed it and perma-patched it.. but question.. is there a version of Game Categories with Context Menu and Multiple MS for 6.20 and a Version and MAC Spoofer thanks again!

Yes, Game Categories Light
It's kind of different, like no context menu, Multiple MS, but instead when u open the memorystick, then press square, u will get ur games in categories.

It's the same, open the Ver.txt file and put the text that wee want to come out in "System Software", and open the Mac.txt file and put the text wee want to come out in MAC Address.
