external sound card help
Hey guys,
Just wondering if anyone can help me find the cheapest external sound cad that will do what I am asking here, It will probably work out cheaper for me just to buy new surround sound but I just want to see.
Right now I have the Creative Inspire T7900 which has no optical input and only has analogue surround sound inputs (4 cables coloured orange, green, black and grey) which works fine for my PC as it has the same outputs.
What I want to do is use the surround sound for my 360 as well as I use my PC monitor to play it on and at the moment the sound from the 360 only comes out of the front two stereo speakers of the surround sound as I have it attached to the line in 3.5mm jack on the surround sound.
What I need I believe is an external sound card with 2 optical inputs (one for pc and one for 360 as they both have optical outputs) although I can probably get away with one optical input and get a switch for it to allow both to connect and then I need the four analogue 3.5mm connectors going out to connect to my surround sound.
Any help or alternatives welcome as I really want to play my games in surround sound!

tldr: Need to cheapest external sound card or alternative with 2X optical in (one possibly) and 4X 3.5mm analogue surround sound out.

Cheers guys XD

Well, optical out is just a fiber optic wiee of, well, fiberglass, so if you had 2 cables, you could melt them together, and have a splitter. But make sure there are no holes in the black "insulative" sleeve
